Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To break free.
ABOUT ME
I graduated from the National Circus School and worked in the circus professionally for well over a decade. I'm an acrobat and, if I may say so, kick a** on German Wheel, my specialty. I've also been known to hang off a static trapeze or two. I'm presently reinventing myself as a therapist.
I may strike some as serious, but that's just until the silliness breaks loose. I'm passionately curious and love to make connections. I'm more of a one-on-one kind of person than a party girl. I cherish my friends and the good times with. I'm energetic, have an uncanny ability to find four leaf clovers, and really do believe it's a beautiful world out there.
PHILOSOPHY
At this moment in time, Jon Bon Jovi comes to mind with these words: "Believe in love. Believe in magic. Believe in Santa Claus. Believe in others. Believe in yourself. Believe in your dreams. If you don't, who will??"
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
At the moment, I'm a surfer. However, I'm also unabashedly in love with Montreal. I love the vibe, the colour and the culture. I don't really party or hit the club scene, so the view of Montreal I would have to offer would likely be a little different than that of most. I'd like to show you around.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have had the pleasure of surfing with 15 wonderful hosts in nine different countries. My experience has been enriching, enlightening and, more than anything, made me realize what it truly means to be grateful.
Interests
I guess the most obvious answer is circus. But as an artist I've learned that you need outside sources to fuel you. I like to cook, but love to bake. I plan on learning to decorate cakes like a ninja. I enjoy knitting and crafts, and would love to learn embroidery or cross stitch. I enjoy contact improv dance, picnics at the botanical gardens, and drinking obscene amounts of tea (preferably accompanied by baked goods). I'm not one for loud bars or big crazy parties.

Music, Movies, and Books
Gah! This one always kills me. I'm pretty eclectic. My favourite book of all time ever is the Little Prince. It is my mission to find as many different copies in as many different languages as I can (I'm up to 65 books in 43 languages, the jewel of my collection being the one I picked up in Iceland).
Music? My favourite groups include the Books, the White Stripes, Nouvelle Vague, OK GO, Ingrid Michealson, and Queen. Although recently Postmodern Jukebox (and Puddles Pity Party!) has featured pretty prominently in my day to day listening.
When it comes to movies, I treat them like the books I love, and as a result, tend to watch the same ones over and over again. Especially animation.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The three most incredible things I have done in my life are:
1 - Follow my dream to places I never would have imagined it would take me.
2 - Represent my country in the closing ceremonies of the Winter Olympic Games in Torino.
3 - Change lives for the better as a camp counsellor at Youth Leadership Camps Canada.
Teach, Learn, Share
Can I just say the description of what to write in here makes my heart swell? What a beautiful thought. I know I want to learn about the countries I visit and that I want to be exposed to as many philosophies as I can so that I may perhaps have a slightly better understanding of how this big ol' world works.
I would love to share recipes and stories. I can teach you to juggle and I have a killer ab workout if anyone is interested.
