Overview
About Me
Hello friends, my name is Thom (or Colin) and I'm currently traveling this wonderful world. I just wrapped up my second summer in Alaska working at a salmon fishery and now I'm slowly making my way back home to Louisiana.
I majored in philosophy at Louisiana State University, and decided to discontinue after finishing my fourth year rather than continuing on the path of academia, further driving myself into debt. I'm now creating my post-academic life, and am excited for all the adventures and situations I'll be able to get myself into. I enjoy reading, reflecting, engaging conversation, listening to podcasts, traveling, living simply, good vibes, and making delicious smoothies.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'll be traveling for much of the next few years, never truly staying in one place for long, and the best way to immerse myself in this experience is to hang out and talk with locals. This site will serve as a means for me to have places to stay as I travel around the world, as well as hopefully introducing me to some genuine, quality folks.
Interests
Biking, reading, discussing, listening to podcasts, hiking, reflecting, trying new things, delving into the unknown, and pushing the boundaries of my comfort.
