I am not sure why this site has moved me to Vietnam, and will not allow me to change it. I live in America currently. I am trying to retire and teach somewhere in SouthEast Asia. I am trying to get enough time to travel to places to make sure that is where I want to settle in. I currently cannot accept surfers at my home in America, because I plan on leaving here. I like meeting new people. I love to encounter new cultures. I love historical sites.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would like to travel some and experience some other countries. I eventually would like to settle in one place for a while. My plan is to keep moving until I am no longer able to do it. I am ready to experience anything. My foreign students have trained me to eat most of the foods of the world, but my all time favorite is Thai food (yes I eat it with the chilies). I have experienced many cultures through my students. I have really enjoyed my Asian students and would like to know more about their cultures.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have had 18 years teaching foreign dentists at a large University. I now have many daughters from all over the world that usually keep in touch with me. I have seen how difficult it is for females from the middle east and Asia to acclimate to the culture of America and have worked with them in any way that I can.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have studied ESL but am only half way through a Masters degree in it. I have engineering degrees in Civil and Biomedical Engineering. I enjoy teaching and I enjoy learning. There are so many things to learn in this world and so little time to do it all.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can help a host with English if they would like to improve. I have been a carpenter and an electrician so I can still fix things. I like to sing. I have a lifetime of stories. I am willing to help them in any way that I can.
