We are happily married, we laugh a lot but we take life seriously. We are typically middle aged, but young at heart and reasonably fit! We love people and anything interesting.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hosting visitors to South Africa from many other countries, and hoping that we too may one day be able to again visit some foreign countries.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I think CS can bring the world into our home.
We had so many people here for SWC2010. They came from Argentina, Mexico, Canada, USA and even one guy from UK. It was and still is pure fun and very entertaining. One evening we had two couples back for a second time, including a new friend and when the Canadian couple arrived, they too spoke Spanish! Well, that evening we had 7 guests - some on the lounge and study floor! A large pot of soup pulled us all through! We regard it as a great privilege and an opportunity to bestow the love of God onto people from everywhere.

We have had our fair share of hair raising experiences!
On our overseas trip in 2008, the most amazing experience was the Military Tattoo in Edinburgh.
We just did a caravan tour down the Garden Route here in SA and experienced the beauty of our own country!

We can share much gained over the years.
We enjoy walking people through historic sites in and around Pretoria and telling them about apartheid and other interesting aspects of South African history.
