About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Exploring everything that attracts my curiosity! What tends to lure me away from my studies.
ABOUT ME
Hi!
I am David, studying information technology in electronics in Dresden (Germany). I like that nerdy stuff, but I am still not a nerd as I have a wide field of interests. I am a nice, social, open-minded guy.
PHILOSOPHY
uurh....
I want to do many things and not have a straightforward life. I hope to live very long and in a forest or on a swedish island for some time in a hut built by myself.
Or become head of engineering of a spaceship. Probably all and nothing.
I definitely want to have a positive impact on society and enjoy life. That's my ambition.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I surfed a bit and had good and fantastic experiences. Didn't have the time to really open my doors to more than just some surfers, something I really regret. But I am sure I will host more when I my life is less chaotic ;-)
Interests
I love music and art. I am fascinated by technology and have a really wide range of other interests like social equity, ecology, politics and architecture.

Music, Movies, and Books
movies: The Perks of Being a Wallflower! Guardians of the Galaxy! The Godfather with a lot of red wine and cigarettes when it's cold outside. Wallander movies with Kenneth Branagh, especially the first ones.
music: Dredg, Incubus, Bonobo, Bon Iver, Kings of Convenience, Fink, Foo Fighters, The Intersphere, Agent Fresco.
Also love some old jazz and swing music like Count Basie, Billie Holiday
Books: by Mankell, Bernhard Schlink (nonfamous but great German author!), George Orwell, John Irving.
And so much more better than the movies: Harry Potter! Yai!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Did a voluntary year in a workshop for mentally disabled. Really amazing experience!
Crossed the Alps on feet with a close friend.
Hitchhiking!
Did a 110 km tour in Iceland on tiny bikes for youths after a night in the tent where a bottle of water froze next to my head. When we came back, the hostel staff cooked for us and told us the whereabouts of a hotpot that only locals know and which they hide from tourist. It was down 5m deep in a narrow gorge with 40° celsius warm and blue water going more than 5m to the ground of the gorge. Pure awesomeness.
Teach, Learn, Share
I could teach you some rhythm stuff as I am a drummer...I think I am still more in a phase of learning.
Still, I am shifting towards a person that wants to give back all it received and I hope to give some more than I received, though I know that's quite a way to go, still.
What I Can Share with Hosts
faith in humanity and my vegan brownies recipe.
