Overview
About Me
I grew up in a tightly knit nomadic family, so sometimes I might seem a bit distant and uninterested, but it's not intentional. It's no resting bitch face or anything- I'm just used to always being around close friends and so can be a bit of a social-interaction numpty. I'm a shy extrovert, I love being around people but stick to the background. You'll find me by the kettle. Or possibly at a private view, trying to discuss art with terrified strangers, who just wanted to have that free glass of wine without talking about all the 'isms out there, thank you.
Finally going to art school this year, so a bit of a late bloomer.
I love labelling myself but having trouble with making them stick, so I guess there's a lot of metaphorical litter around me. Sorry!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Used to surf and host. Now I'm semi-homeless really, so I can't host, but I still enjoy hanging out and showing people around the town.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Mostly good, I tend to ignore bad things that happen to me because I'm an idiot.
Interests
Apparently all people are strange, so in that way- I'm quite common and unspectacular.
I love art, especially contemporary painting and I really enjoy going to exhibitions, even the ones I don't think I'll like.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm one of those people who liked Lady Bird. Yeah, I know. Other films- I love Sicario, but I don't think I could watch it again. I didn't see the 'sequel' either. I really like 'The Lobster' and I love Tarkovsky's Solaris. I enjoyed 'Leviathan' and 'Loveless'. But I don't like crying in front of other people, so I usually watch films on my own in the dark.
I read some, not as much as I'd like, but I try. Dharma Bums and Town and the City were my favourites, and I do love the Bell Jar. I also really recommend reading Michelle Tea's Black Wave.
I like music. A bit too old now to say I hate any genres for the sake of it. I don't have a favourite song per se, but I think Britney Spears' Toxic would be a wonderful punk rock anthem.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I moved out from my parents when I was 16. I also moved to Italy on a whim and did a budget version of the grand tour. And I guess now I got into the school I wanted and hopefully can survive it and make myself and my Mama proud.
Teach, Learn, Share
