About Me

LIVING IN COIMBRA until February, 2016. (So I can only offer you a couch in São Paulo after that, sorry).

I'm a Journalism student from São Paulo, Brazil, and I've been living in Coimbra since september. I'm a feminist and I've worked as a journalist in Brazil and as an intern in Palestine. I'm always engaged in projects focused on youth engagement and empowerment and media literacy. I strongly believe in cross-cultural dialogue and in building bridges instead of walls.

Interests

Finding new places, meeting new faces and getting to know people from different regions.

Cross-cultural dialogue, youth engagement, journalism and feminism. I'm always looking for another opportunity to deepen my knowlegde in those areas, since they are probably my biggest passions.

I'm also interested in learning more languages, and practicing the ones I've already learned, like Spanish and Arabic (my Arabic is bad, I must say it).

Music, Movies, and Books

I'd say my favorite type of music is heavy metal (ok, symphonic metal in particular), but I'm also an enthusiast of many Latin rhythms (cumbia, bolero, etc). I'm a lover of Brazilian music and I'm always willing to learn more about other places' music and literature.

My last reads were Eduardo Galeano, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Carola Saavedra, Saramago, Mario Benedetti, Patricia Highsmith, Virginia Woolf, García Márquez and Neil Gaiman.

I love Almodóvar's and Woody Allen's work in particular.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I made the best decision in life and spent few months in Palestine, which was a life-changing experience and a dream of mine.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Ever wondered where you could learn Brazilian Portuguese? Here you have the best chance to learn it :)

I can cook, I can offer a nice conversation and some feminist jokes.
