About Me

Hello! I'm Priscilla and I am an avid traveler. I recently have been introduced to the world of Couchsurfing. I collect pins from countries I visit and nothing can entertain me more than learning about other people's cultures and becoming a little more fluent in their mother tongue. I love exercise and you can always finding me dancing to a tune. I have danced ballet, jazz, and hip hop growing up and am now learning how to pole. Boxing has always been my sport so let me know if you want to learn a move or two! I am very excited to hear more about funny stories you may have and learn about your life experiences.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I will be traveling with my Filipino friend Miguel Lumapat (https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/miguel-lumapat) from November 27-December 16 to South Korea and Japan! We would appreciate it if you can host us for the following dates:

Nov 28 - Dec 3 : Seoul, South Korea
Dec 12- Dec 16: Tokyo, Japan

We are looking to meet some amazing locals along the way and learn more about the history of these countries, cultural foods, and its peoples! We will truly appreciate it if you can show us around or teach us something new -- we would love to hang out, meet the travel community, and make new friends!

Music, Movies, and Books

Coming from Brooklyn, I love Cardi B but Rihanna is my life. I watch a varied number of genres but my shows I stick to are Westworld, Game of Thrones, Better Call Saul, Walking Dead, and The 100. I read a lot of books and articles that center on new ways of thinking like 'Outliers' and 'David and Goliath' by Malcolm Gladwell and am currently reading 'Climate of Hope' by Michael Bloomberg and Carl Pope. I loved 'Cloud Atlas' and 'Sound and the Fury'. Will be reading 'Becoming' and 'The Hate You Give'.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I sold my cryptocurrencies to afford travelling solo to Phuket and Bangkok, Thailand! It was an amazing journey and I made a ton of friends. I was so lucky because my new local Thai friend and I went to a club in Patong and saw DJ Snake perform. I can tell you all about enjoying Thai culture, seeing the scenery/temples, talking with locals, and having a cultural immersion with foods.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach English, Cantonese, or German as well as dancing, boxing, and painting (I used to teach art classes).
