About Me

CURRENT MISSION

EAT- Surf- EAT- Write- EAT- Relax- Find some Adventure- and Eat some more

ABOUT ME

If you asked my best friends about me... I'm pretty sure they would unanimously say the same thing: "Very strange" ;)

I would like to mention though, that I am NOT Taiwanese! haha MEXICAN-AMERICAN! already shocked too many surfers when I arrived and I wasnt asian! haha

PHILOSOPHY

"It's not about the destination, it's about the journey."

Places are just places... it's the people that make a place special.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have officially started couchsurfing ^O^. Though I joined CS a long while back, I only answered questions via CS groups but had not hosted or been hosted.

As of June 21st that has changed! ^O^
I have been hosted 3 times, hosted once, and met up with CSrs occasionally for different events :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Interests

I like to try new things. I love trying extreme sports: skydiving, water rafting, snowboarding, surfing, paragliding, etc.. I'm not awesome at any of it, but I enjoy attempting to do it all (although I can proudly say I was successful at skydiving twice...obviously). I also enjoy the less extreme: reading, writing, watching anime, hanging out with friends, going to concerts, etc.. oh! and I REALLY like trying new food!

Music, Movies, and Books

Harry Potter (books), AVPM, AVPS, AVPSY <- (if you know this, you are my new best friend)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1.) facing my fear and swimming with the sharks (ok ok whale sharks but just as terrifying to me!)- I spent 5 min. trying to get out of the boat, 20 min holding onto the side of the boat with my eyes closed and the last five minutes in a world i could never have imagined. Being under water with these magnificent creatures... there are no words...

2.) working at the observatories on Mauna Kea at night. There is no way to explain it... just..working wasn't much fun but being up there at night....it was heaven.

3.) BATAAD RICE TERRACES!- this place literally took my breath away! My friend and I didn't know that there was a jeepney up to the half way point so we ended up hiking 4 hours uphill (with no water>.<).- it was worth it! It is impossible to describe the beauty of this place. Even the pictures don't do it justice!

Teach, Learn, Share

Everyone has something to offer, though we do not always see it for what it is. Every encounter is a chance to learn and teach...and yes share :)
