ABOUT ME
(Old)
After some years of introspection trying to understand what I wanted to do on this planet, I chose practical experience over theoretical answers. This is how I left home and went travelling around the world; more precisely, I decided to finally listen to my heart, go live my life of nomad and practicing what I am good at, being joyful, enthusiastic, marveled in front of the world's wonders, meeting new people, smiling to them and giving them my heart. That's how answers came like a miracle and the understanding of one thing, one word, Love. Therefore, the primary goal of my travelling is to look for Love and Good in everybody I meet and wherever I go because I deeply think that God dwells within everybody's heart and it's only a matter of radiating it.

But don't get me wrong, I am not religious at all, on the opposite, I am too free-minded and independent to close myself up in one doctrine. Let's say I'm spiritual;) I'm now travelling with little money exactly because the less I have, the more I have to let go of my expectations and accept what is offered to me by people, being their help, a good conversation, an invitation home, a smile. I learnt that nothing is difficult in life as long as we trust the universe and its infinite kindness to provide us with what we need (not necessarily what we want) - as long as we are being grateful for it. It does not mean that everything is easy to get but if we put our heart to it, everything is reachable. I'm an optimistic, this is probably a big plus!

I am very curious and eager for knowledge and even though I don't master all these subjects, I am interested in sociology, art, languages, psychology, history, geopolitics, philosophy, everything I can put my hands on, really;)

Life is also about fun! So I like singing, dancing, hanging out with friends, drinking red wine when I am in France, cooking, oversleeping ;)
Lo I love cycling, walking, skiing and I can never be happier than lost alone in nature or on the top of a mountain with good companions.

I found my happiness in living a simple but truthful life by not having but simply being. For now I have my house on my back and my life includes a lot of reading, laughing, chatting, cycling, hitchhiking and sleeping under the stars at the moment :)

PHILOSOPHY

Open your heart to the world; change your desires instead of the world's order; never expect anything from life, always be grateful for what life offers you and receive it as a gift every time. Doing so, you will soon see that you get everything you need (not what you want but what you need) and you will feel unconditional love and pure joy dwelling in your heart. happiness is here and now.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My home is open!
I have all sorts of tea and sometimes Russian vodka (when I live in France!)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

After hosting lovely people in France and going to the great Moscow CS meeting, I'm now surfing on couches, always pleased to see how easy-going and open-minded CS people are =)

Interests

My greatest interest is without doubt travelling! Meeting local people, learning about the culture, sometimes a bit of the language, talking, learning, etc.

And arts (I fell in love with post-impressionism, Henri Rousseau, but also Odilon Redon, Signac, Sisley and Chagall as well as with Russian painters, Shishkin, Vereshiagin)
