Overview
About Me
I am avid liver and traveller in the rhythm of life.
I have been living and working with the indigenous communities in Odisha since past 5 years.
In the course of living, learning and conversations with the animate and the inanimate of the Kondh community, we tried an initiative called, “School of Nature”. The initiative aims to evolve into learning approach rooted in indigenous knowledge systems, enquire about the transition and intersections shared with various components of Adivasi cosmos. We engaged with the children and the whole community to co-create a space for contextual, ecologically rooted learning while constantly trying to establish dialogue with the elder and make space for intergenerational knowledge exchange.
The soil which holds all, the forest which constantly gives, the water which satiates and a lot more have been my constant teachers. I deeply value the wisdom of old mothers and grandmothers and get intrigued by the songs of native rice they sing and the kinship they share with the soil, forest and hills.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To learn and share spaces and experiences with people. :)
Because I live in a remote location where travellers usually don't come, I just got an opportunity to host one person but it was lovely.
