About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To step foot on every continent

ABOUT ME

I think I would rather write this in the first person. Previously I traveled with my brother who was the one who told me about this site and I had such great experiences with it that I thought I would join as well. Our friends and us stayed with people in Vancouver BC and Tucson and both places were very hospitable. The people who stayed with us in our last house were all great experiences as well.

I recently graduated college with a degree in Economics and I figured that now would be a good time to see the world. I've seen most of the west coast and the mid west and would like to see more overseas, specifically Europe and Australia.

I'm not sure what else to say about myself. I'm social and enjoy hanging out with the people I'm staying with and can just as easily go and do my own thing exploring the city. I enjoy a social drink and finding new beers, being from Portland we are a bit spoiled. I'm fine with a couch or floor and just ask for suggestions on places to see in your city though if you can go with all the better.

PHILOSOPHY

You only live so long so why spend all of it without seeing the next town over.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've participated in the past by living in a house who welcomed couch surfers, I use to go to a number of the Portland area meet ups and have stayed with a few people as well. Currently my couch is available to surf as well.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Through my brother we stayed with people in Vancouver BC and Tucson and had great times at both places. At my last house we hosted people and had many pleasant experiences with that and the people I have hosted here have been great as well. I enjoy being able to show people a side of Portland most tourists don't get to see and I enjoy being shown the same when I travel.

Interests

I enjoy going to museums, brew pubs, local land marks, I suppose the typical things that people like to see when they travel. If i'm not traveling I enjoy going to hang out with friends, reading comics or books, and just generally entertaining myself. As it rains 9 months of the year most activities are indoors but when the sun does come out I enjoy going out and hiking or camping. I'm not too big into sports but I do follow football both regular football and american football.
