About Me

I'm Prix. I enjoy deep conversations and a good craft beer. I love learning from others, collecting random facts, and visiting places around the world where I can walk a lot, explore parks, and pet dogs I don't know, also playing a LOT of boardgames.. so far my collection is in 108 games.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've been registered on Couchsurfing for almost 10 years… and surprisingly, I've never actually used the app. What I’ve always loved about Couchsurfing is this community of people from different backgrounds, all looking to understand other cultures and beliefs more deeply — and to learn from each other. I guess it’s never too late to give it a try, right?

Interests

Some of my current interests include spending time with my two dogs in nearby parks, going to local craft beer bars in my city with my partner, and watching cooking shows like Culinary Wars (yes, I'm that person 😄). I’ve been getting back into reading and writing lately, and I’m also in the exciting (and sometimes chaotic) process of figuring out how to build a photography studio from scratch.

Music, Movies, and Books

Favorite music: mostly alternative, but I also enjoy some reggaeton or salsa when it’s time to dance.
Favorite movies/series: I’m into stories about time, space, and alternate realities — things like Gattaca or Mr. Robot.
Books: I'm currently reading The Lucifer Effect by Philip Zimbardo. 1984 by George Orwell is also very good.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbing the highest mountain in South Korea on a 7-hour hike without the right gear — totally unprepared, freezing (because I had no idea what I was doing, haha) — and when I finally made it to the top, it was so foggy I couldn’t see a thing. Still, it was the hike I’m most proud of in my life!

Teach, Learn, Share

I really enjoy teaching creatives how to build better processes or business models to "present themselves" to the world. Lately, I’ve been giving some classes at an arts university on how to create portfolios, write CVs, prepare for interviews, and make the most out of collaborations.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share a good story or two, and I’m always happy to listen — especially about what it really means to live in your city. I’d love to grab a beer at a nearby pub, and if you're up for it, I can even take a portrait of you on film.
