One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

March 2012
I dived deep in to the sea off the coast of Port Blair, India with wish to touch the sea bed. I don't know how deep it was. I just took a deep breath put all my energy to go down and finally touched the porous like sand on the ocean floor. I re-oriented myself in standing posture and suddenly felt immense pain in my head and ears and felt exhausted. All of my oxygen in that I took in one deep breath was all over. I started to swim upwards but didn't get the lift from the floor. Darkness started to surround me, I could see tunneling affect due to poor oxygen level in blood and I felt DEATH is knocking my door. I kept moving up, shuttling my legs quick and hands grabbing handful of water and pulling it down below in the hope that I will be on the top soon.
I shut my eyes and it was all dark now. I started to release the breath I had to decrease the pressure from the chest and suddenly I felt air in my hand.

I opened my eyes, popped my head up and I was out breathing again.

Death was One breath away!
