Chi sono

CURRENT MISSION

Live a rich life of variety

ABOUT ME

Most of what defines my character is a constant need to violate reality with ridiculous circumstances and an appreciation for life. I always put myself and those close to me in situations that are cutting edge, situations we can almost not handle. I try to live in a way that demands creativity and finding new strengths in my own character and those around me. I don’t think it’s shallow to believe life is about fun. I believe in fun. I believe life and travel are one and the same. I have lived in Southeast Asia and speak Thai. My favorite food is sushi and I have quit eating all nuts on this earth except for Macadamias. There’s no time to waste eating anything else. I believe in quality as a philosophy. I have expensive taste and smoke a pipe. I read leather bound books. I am pretty sure there is a creator of man but don’t really put much belief in any religion.

I know I am pretty much kind to everyone I meet and know. The most important quality of art, people, seasons, and life is essence. It is what fills out memories at night and makes the best art timeless. It is what we fall in love with in humans, animals, and sunsets. Essence is the obscure odor of all things that are left indescribable yet completely knowable. I enjoy coffee in the morning and Shiraz at night. An ideal dinner right now would be a fresh piece of salmon, it’s flavorful, and I feel like a bear in a stream when I eat it. I believe in America and American music. I love folk music, alternative country and acoustic music lately. I need it warm and meaningful. My favorite place is Point Lobos in Central California. It’s where the Monterey Cypress grows and that is my favorite tree. I know how to play drums and identify with rhythm. My first language was an African language as a nanny named Nurry from Somalia brought me up early.. I am a fair weather sports fan meaning I am a junkie about sports when the home teams are doing well and when they are not I pretend they do not exist. It makes life a little better picking the winning horses only.

If you are not laughing have a laugh and see if it makes you laugh. If it does, that is probably a good sign. I am not an expert on much of anything but I know a little about a lot. I believe in taking pictures and displaying them, looking at them periodically, and showing other people. I love nostalgia and love old maps. I love maps because they are big pictures of possibility. I like moving somewhere for three months to suck in the experience and then lie to people about a reason why I must leave. It is of course there is so much more to see and do. I put a strong emphasis on family and try to convey to these people very often that I love them so much no matter how weird they are. There is no greater bond in life than family. I am an ambitious person who is attempting to create a meaningful life, a rich story of existence.

PHILOSOPHY

One key to life is happiness and the thing about happiness is letting yourself be happy. Have fun. Help others and make memories, take risks and challenges.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am currently planning extensive participation.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I like waking up in foreign environments. The coffee is different and the window holds a new view.

Interessi

I love working with independent film, and have gotten some paychecks working for MTV,NBC,ESPN, HBO, and a bunch of others. I was DJ'ing trance for three years and then switched to drum and bass before I sold everything to travel. Then I produced a couple of albums. I like to paint, my medium is oil. I love to read, I mean I really love to read. I enjoy autobiographies and stuff from the beat generation and forward into the 1960's. I love the textbooks I have gotten into. I really do like to learn, I studied philosophy, psychology, and globalization and terrorism at Harvard before I freaked out and went to Southeast Asia for a year. I like drinking tea and coffee and eating fresh fruit. I like seafood. I am interested in backpacking and I like sitting around at cafes and talking. I like drinking beer, or a glass of wine, and smoking. I used to collect PEZ but lately I have been collecting postcards and memories. I like jazz and earned it and all that too. I am interested in just about everything I know about, including the plumbing in my house.

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

I really enjoyed sleeping in the Thai jungle with limited supplies and no guide, just my best friend Ryan this last year. This jungle breathes and the animals are wild. I love the US road trips, living on the beaches of California, and hopping into Mexico. I have met a lot of famous people with my work and this year I played a 1966 War pilot in a movie with Christan Bale. I was just and extra but it was fun hanging out and working for Hedzog, a brilliant German director. My family, friends and memories are amazing. I am a happy person. Having a camera on my shoulder shooting a primetime show for NBC.
