ABOUT ME

What I really want to do is travel around, writing and making movies. Now, I live in the big city of Chicago as an assistant engineer at a sound design studio. Things could be a whole lot worse.

I like music more than anyone should. I get into long and heated arguments about the differences between live and recorded performances. If anyone says they want a live concert to sound the same as the album, we are enemies. Sorry.

Normal things to expect at my house:
- Spontaneous song and dance numbers
- Good food
- Irish Jigging on a Tuesday
- Meeting my friends who come and go as they please
- "A-Band", a completely spontaneous band comprised of the drunken rabble in my house and my oddly large collection of instruments.
- Wednesday night (our day to go out by tradition)
- Somewhat historical reenactments

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I started hosting people while living in Grand Rapids, but... nobody wanted to go to Grand Rapids.

Since moving back to Chicago, I've hosted a lot of really cool people. Haven't surfed around too much yet, at least not through CS, but planning on it one day.

I'd love to learn whatever anyone is willing to teach me.

My personality dictates that I absorb information, collecting it for later use, so I have a ton of useless knowledge that is great at parties.

I can also teach you about music, both the listening and playing sides. Oh, and I can show you how to swing dance!
