About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To make new friends and see old ones. To be a better person and to Live Like Susie.

ABOUT ME

Born in London, I grew up in a village outside of High Wycombe until I moved into the town before secondary school. Made a few friends across the world on the way.

In 2011 I went travelling to America, to see more of the world, to visit old friends and to make some new. I encountered hardships on the way but it's made me grow as a person.

Now days I try to educate myself more about the world, I'm just trying to be a better person if I can't make the world a better place.

PHILOSOPHY

I've struggled through some dark parts of my mind for most of my life, but nowadays I try to reaffirm to myself my strength and how great everything is.

I think if you can tell yourself something positive every day, you'll start to believe it, then start to become it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I used couch-surfing on-and-off for most of 3 months when I traveled across America in 2011. It was the greatest thing and I saw and visited places I would've never had imagined or experienced if it wasn't for CS. Other days I spent with friends, motels or shelters. I really want to give back to the CouchSurfing community, perhaps when I go to University there will be more chances to host people, as those I've hosted so far have been great people to meet.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've met so many great people through CouchSurfing CouchCrashes, surfing, hosting and just meeting CouchSurfers in coffee shops across the world.

Interests

My interests typically lie in reading and film, but more widely I'm always interested in the discussion of world affairs, history, politics - Anything that presents an opportunity to learn new things, whether it becomes something I rely on later/throughout my life, or simply a deeper understanding of cultures and ideas.

I also have a strong interest in games, both paper/table games and video games. I see them as great storytelling devices, challenges, or fun ways to relax and socialize.

Music, Movies, and Books

I tend to diversify my reading materials and my music to not be restricted to any certain boundary, but as of such find it difficult and possibilty counter-productive to list such things.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spent 89 days travelling all over the U.S.
So much to say, such an amazing experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

Food, shelter and some local knowledge! Sometimes I might even be able to give you a lift to Oxford or some of the villages.
