I originally tried couch surfing as a alternative to hosteling. When someone told me that i could spend the night ... Inside of a application on my android .. I thought to my self .."self you gotta try this" hosting surfers has been amazing and afforded me a great circle of wonderful friends. Ive hosted with *couch surfing* and (air bnb)all over the U.S. for the last 10 years or so... Air Force veteran/working artist... *Disclaimer* I will not be doing CrossFit with you..(or joining any other cults).. I like art and I like sandwiches.

Update I came to Puerto Rico for the first time last year ... and havent found any reasons to leave yet ... its amazing.

I live in the middle of San Juan in the art district , know as Santurce.The ocean is right outside my, front door .. like >you step out the door .. and boom! Your feet are in the sand...basketball court, skate park, air mattresses, a couple couches, and occasional barbecue... like occasionally during.. everyday.
