About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Bringing something good and positive to every conversation.
ABOUT ME
These things are always interesting to fill out...putting these stamps on ourselves...I love meeting people, love sharing what I have learnt, and learning from those around me! I have been married to the man of my dreams for a few years now, and it's never a dull moment! I love biking (although, with all of the traveling I am pretty unfit) reading, singing out loud wherever I am, and cooking. There are few things as fun to me, as to put on some music, and learn some new recipes from friends, cooking foods I've sometimes never even heard about!
PHILOSOPHY
People are people, we have much to learn from each other, so much that we can give and get. I am learning, more and more, as I walk along this road on Earth, when we love one another, and are willing to give of ourselves, get our hands dirty and serve, our lives are complete, full of adventures, and happy!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have been with CS since 2010, although I have not been a very active member. I was part of a traveling theatre company for 8.5 year, and my husband for 7.5, we are 'professional guests' as we used to spend most of that time in people's homes. It's lovely to finally have our own place!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I heard about CS from avid supporters in McKinley-ville, CA, and had to find out more!

Music, Movies, and Books
Oh, goodness...I have an Amazon Kindle, and read whenever I get the chance. fantasy novels, a no holds barred fan of the WHEEL OF TIME series by Robert Jorden, Wilbur Smith, is also a favorite of mine, a South African writer with a knack for getting me interested in history. I will listen to and enjoy most any style of music, everything has a time and place.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have sat on a porch in Coffee Bay, a little beach bum town in the MIDDLE of nowhere, and seen the sun flash green through the ocean as it came up...it was breath taking.
I have been a gypsi for the 8 and a half years, travelling throughout South Africa, and America.
I've been on a dhow (a boat that looks like an oversized canoe, from Mozambique) in the middle of the night, when the tide went in, and I walked on sandbanks as large as a football field, with the stars stretching over me like a blanket.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach rudimentary guitar, and have some awesome South African recipes in my back pocket. I LOVE the Lord, and believe, strongly, that He loves us all, but never forces himself down our throats. So I will always be willing to share the relationship I have with him, but will never push it.
Would love to learn to play guitar better, learn more recipes, experience cultures. I'm planning on studying Psychiatry, so people study is always important.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Happy to teach a recipe or two, have many crazy stories to tell, and overall enjoy people being people.
