I'm not religious, (That is answer for the first question that's been asked to me mostly, sad isn't it?) I don't like religious people, no matter what they believe in.

And I don't approve almost anything that Turkish government does. (That is the second answer for the follow up question)

Anyway, couchsurfing is about meeting with new people; + surfing and hosting; good experiences as well as bad surprises are always on the table; however you never know how it might end before you let people in. Good luck!
