Overview
About Me
Hi! I’m Pruthvi, an electrical engineering master’s recent graduate currently living in Italy. I’m originally from India and have been studying and traveling around Europe for the past couple of years. I enjoy meeting people from different cultures and hearing their stories. it’s one of my favorite parts of traveling.
I’m curious by nature and usually up for meaningful conversations, city walks, trying local food, or just sharing a coffee. I like traveling in a simple way, exploring places like a local rather than a tourist. I also enjoy photography and making travel videos, and I’m slowly learning Italian.
I consider myself respectful, clean, and easygoing. I value honesty, kindness, and good vibes. Whether it’s hosting, surfing, or just meeting up, I’m here to exchange experiences, learn from others, and create good memories along the way.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m on Couchsurfing because I believe traveling is more meaningful when you connect with people, not just places. I enjoy cultural exchange, sharing experiences, and seeing destinations through a local perspective rather than as a tourist.
For me, Couchsurfing is about having great conversations from a stranger , learning about different lifestyles, and building friendships across cultures. I’m happy to share stories, help around the house if needed, and spend time together when possible.
I’m open to hosting, surfing, or simply meeting up, and I hope to be part of a respectful and positive Couchsurfing community wherever I go.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music:
I enjoy a mix of genres depending on the mood, Indian music, international pop, soft acoustic, and sometimes lofi or instrumental tracks while studying or traveling. I also like discovering local music from different countries.
Movies & Series:
I like movies that tell strong stories or explore different cultures. I enjoy travel related films, inspirational dramas, thrillers, and light comedies. I’m always open to recommendations, especially foreign films. my favourite is Money Heist, Prison Break , Interstellar.
Books:
I mostly enjoy self development, travel stories, and books that offer new perspectives on life and mindset. I also like reading about personal growth, habits, and occasionally technology related topics.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Moving alone from India to Italy to pursue my master’s degree and build a life in a completely new country has been one of the most amazing experiences of my life. It pushed me out of my comfort zone, taught me independence, adaptability, and helped me grow both personally and culturally.
Through this journey, I’ve learned to navigate new languages, cultures, and ways of thinking, and it has made me more open-minded and confident when meeting people from all over the world.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach:
I can share my experiences of studying and living in Italy as an international student, basics of Indian culture, simple cooking tips for Indian food, and beginner-level electrical engineering concepts if you’re curious. I can also help with basic English conversation practice.
Learn:
I’d love to learn about local culture, traditions, food, and everyday life wherever I travel. I’m especially interested in learning languages (currently Italian), new perspectives on life, and skills that locals enjoy sharing.
Share:
I’m happy to share travel stories, good conversations, cultural exchange, and positive energy. I believe even simple moments show the best side of Couchsurfing.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share good conversations, respect, and a positive attitude. I’m clean, responsible, and mindful of house rules. I’m happy to help with small things around the house if needed.
I enjoy cultural exchange and can share stories about India, my experiences studying and traveling in Europe, and insights into student life in Italy. I can also cook simple Indian meals, share travel tips, or just spend time together over tea or a walk if you like.
Most importantly, I try to leave every place and interaction with good memories and gratitude.
