About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Update! I'll be moving back to Szczecin in September 2013 which means I will hopefully be able to start hosting again soon!

ABOUT ME

I'm Polish, born in 1984 and living in my hometown at the moment. used to live and study in Germany, work in Ireland, had a time of my life living in Australia and quite recently also spent some months in the UK.
love traveling, love meeting new people, getting to know the world. have a few interests, a few hobbies - I'll write a little more in a appropriate section about them.

PHILOSOPHY

it would make it all that much easier, if I knew exactly what am I living for :)
I'm trying to make the most of it. on one hand, trying to be happy with myself, with the way life goes at the moment - on the other, I'm not sitting back and relaxing completely just yet, there's still plenty of work to do...
so - I'm trying to influence and master the areas of my life, that I'm in power of. I'm also keeping in mind that not everything depends on my actions, so I'm letting 'the chips fall where they may'.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I host, I surf, I do it all... have had some 'just' good and great guests in my hometown in Szczecin and met two lovely girls while surfing in Warsaw.
I love the idea of CS, so if a chance to participate more comes up, I'll probably be up for it!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

hosted a few times, surfed twice - so far the experience is just great! after all, most of the users share similar values and interests - it's easy to meet like-minded people this way.

Interests

music, sports, traveling (obviously), social dynamics, humanitarian studies. I actually do have quite a few interests

  • traveling
  • music
  • surfing
  • sports

Music, Movies, and Books

movies: definitely like watching Gene Hackman, Scarecrow (with Al Pacino as well) is the one to watch for sure.
recently - love the Cohen brothers movies and Aronofsky is a great director as well.
music: the greatest bands would probably have to be queen and G&R, but there's so much more to it than just rock music. there are a few brilliant polish artists, I love latino music (makes me smile), used to listen to heavy metal a lot and if a good dj is playing, I don't mind some pop/top30 song either.
books - I like them books that bring the human nature a bit closer. like reading classical psychologists' and philosophers' works (i.e. Freud, Nietzsche, Fromm, etc.). like some of the earlier Coelho's books, as well as believe 'of mice and man' is one of the most fantastic novels of all time.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

well, I packed my things, sold my stuff, bought my one way ticket, said goodbye to my ma' and went to have a time of my life in Sydney, Australia. and, even though it's surely the most decent place I've ever lived in, I still managed to go back home. these were some of the biggest moments of my life.
traveling to the dream place, since my early childhood, the james bond's island in Thailand was a great feeling as well.
quite recently though, I've been to Sinai Mountain in Egypt and to be honest with you - this is going to be the one to beat now! it was a purely amazing place.
