ABOUT ME

I'd hope my friends my friends would say I'm easy going, friendly, and passionate about things close to my heart. I'm also like to be active, both physically and mentally.

Interests

I love to travel, but I don't do it nearly enough! I like to experience the feeling and atmosphere of new places and add new beauty to my memory. But most of all, I enjoy talking to people from different backgrounds and cultures, who have a different perspective on life and the universe.

I am a geologist, and a bit of a science geek in general. I find great beauty in nature, but the greatest beauty is its complexity and the stories nature tells when revealed through science - imagining/discovering the story of how the mountain got there is as beautiful as the mountain itself for me!

I often find myself putting on my hiking boots and picking up my camera and getting up into the mountains when ever I can find the time! (In winter replace hiking boots with a snowboard...)

Lastly, I love to think, read about and discuss deep topics like philosophy and morality and also also big issues affecting society and civilisation like climate change, resource consumption and future technology.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1. Spending 8 days on a remote scientific research station in the Great Barrier Reef - untouched corals, hundreds of fish, rays and sharks, beautiful sunsets every night, and seeing the "green flash"!
