Overview
About Me
My wife Rebecca and I are heading on an 6 month adventure soon.
CURRENT MISSION
To be happy and help others along the way.
ABOUT US
We are a polite, introspective, considerate, clean and respectful couple who are self sufficient, and love the enlightening serendipitous and adventitious experiences that Couchsurfing can afford us.
We practice Vipassana meditation 2 hours a day which means that we try to develop awareness and compassion for all beings in all walks of life.
We do not drink or smoke.
Rebecca:
Very kind, sweet, gently and intelligent. A bit of a wordsmith. Studying coding: HTML, CSS and javascript.
Speaks Mandarin and English.
Patrick:
Observant, creative and open minded. Try to go with the flow.
I am a bit of a life hacker. I do a lot of stuff my self, like fixing and figuring out how things work, and creating/building things etc.
We enjoy the idea of living sustainably.
PHILOSOPHY
"Don't worry, be happy!"
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I rarely travel in groups and Couhsurfing adds a nice spice to the experience. I enjoy giving back when I can and hosting those who wish to see a different side of the country I live in.
I enjoy taking part in the ability to dissolve borders and to really connect with people all over the world. I enjoy learning from from others.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have had many.

Most recent books: Steven King's dark tower series (7 books!) and Isac Asimov's Foundation and Earth/End of Eternity. Have been reading some classic literature. Currently reading East of Eden by John Steinbeck.
Movies: All sorts.
Music: Eclectic taste. Do not like: boy and girlbands, most country, death metal, screamo, hardcore.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
AMAZING THINGS
Connecting with people. Being part of a larger community.
The little things.
My second Vipassana meditation course was very noteworthy for me. Volunteering on a Vipassana course was really fruitful.
Road trip to a Burmese village and setting up future temple school development. Staying in the temple, and master monks giving us a tour of the town.
Hitch-hiking and getting to know the drivers.
Teach, Learn, Share
We can all learn from each other if we're all willing to be students.
