ABOUT ME

I like to be outdoors, love climbing, love hiking and camping. Also, I love to read and obviously travel. Also, I am a big fan of watching sports on TV, especially soccer and speed skating on ice (no, not the one where they dance on the ice). I am very clumsy and like to talk a lot. I like to go out and have a beer as well.I love meeting new people and experiencing their culture.

PHILOSOPHY

Never live the life you don't feel satisfied with. Don't choose something you are expected to do, but is not your passion.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have hosted people in the Netherlands and enjoyed the hospitality of others while travelling in North and South America. Love both experiences and always happy to participate in CS!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have only had positive experiences, both with hosting and surfing. It was great to host people, show them around and tell them about your culture and language. When surfing, I enjoy this contact as well, learning from the great people I get to stay with.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've had some amazing hikes in the West of the US such as Bryce, Zion and Grand Canyon and had an amazing experience in Alaska in the summer of 2011. Also, I really enjoyed going to Iceland in the winter, something I can recommend everyone to do!

I just returned from a trip to South America where traveling the Amazon by boat, climbing mountains in the Andes, conyoning in Venezuela, cycling death road in Bolivia and visiting Machu Picchu were some of the amazing things I have done.

I love to learn languages, explore new food and drinks. I can tell people about my experiences traveling and about Dutch culture.
