ABOUT ME

Thanks for looking at my profile ♥

I'm an energetic and very social Danish boy who is always having a bit too many plans, but in the end somehow everything seems to work out.

I wanna taste life and the world as much as possibly.
This is very objective, but the real 'me' should other people define :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I first started couchsurfing during a 3-month vacation in China, and promised myself that I will never travel again without using couchsurfing for at least some parts of the trips.
At the moment I might be able to host you guys, or just go exploring the city.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've used couchsurfing when travelling many parts of the world, and hopefully I can continue that. I've also had the pleasure to host a lot of great people in both Copenhagen and in Dhaka. I've found it can be quite interesting to explore your own city from a travellers point of view.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: this seems like a Sisyphean task - in some periods every new day brings new an unknown music. In general my taste varies from Joni Mitchell to the cosmic trance rock band Föllakzoid from Chile to Princess Nokia and J. Cole over the agro afro punk band Ho99o9 to the classics of Joy Division and Portishead all the way to the heart aching music of The XX, Future Islands and Slowdive. And I would never say no to a good party concert with Lamb of God, Die Antwoord, Cashmere Cat or Run The Jewels. But this enumeration is not particularly apt for my taste in music as it changes and evolves almost daily.

Movies: Paul, The Hitchikers Guide To The Galaxy, Remeber Me, The Lion King, Holy Motors, The Intouchables, Jacques Tati films, Jim Jarmusch's (Night On Earth, Dead Man, Coffee and Cigarettes) and David Lynch's films (Eraserhead, Lost Highway), Der Himmel Über Berlin and many many more. TV Shows would be the late Colbert Report, Last Week Tonight or Late Night with Seth Meyers, and in the fictional genre, Twin Peaks, Fargo, Sopranos, Archer and many more. I have a small fetish for old eurovision song contest shows and everything with Nicolas Cage on hangover-Sundays.

Authors: Mostly political books where the subject is what matter, not the author, but who doesn't love H.C. Andersen, Murakami, Nancy Friday, and John le Carre

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The art of limitation is severe, so I have instead listed some events which I am especially grateful for:

Lived with indigenous people and monks in Cambodia.
Seen a wild wolf in the French Alps.
Been a street vendor/seller/Barrow-boy in Egypt.
Climb up a volcano in a snow storm.
Eaten stuff that was alive... (like at a restaurant, don't worry:) ).
Internship at the Danish Embassy in Dhaka.

Teach, Learn, Share

I could teach you:
- Danish humor, how to play pool, table tennis or foosball,
- how to drink like a viking/viqueen,
- how to sit and listen to the grass grow,
- learn you how to make Danish breakfast, ex. 'Arme Aeble Riddere' = 'Poor Apple Knights',
- maybe some magic...

I wanna learn:
- Small phrases in different languages, humor and metaphors in other languages.
- Other cultures and their specific traditions.
- How to be good on a slackline.
- Mah Jong (I learned it at my 3 month travel in China, but unfortunately I forgot how to play it...).
- Fun and different ways to travel.

I wanna share:
- My experiences: travel and living, places in Copenhagen I love,
- My time (I'm convinced that it's the most precious you can share with another person),
- And if you'r one of those types; selected travel pictures:)
