About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Meet people. Have fun. Learn.

ABOUT ME

Hello, my name is Andrew, and I am a 31 year old living in Vienna, Austria. I originally grew up in the United States in Kansas and attended school at the University of Kansas. The list of things that I have been paid to do in my life is pretty rediculous. At various points in my life I've been: a bowling alley attendant, a security monitor, an independent tutoring contractor, a university lab teaching aide, a paid tornado chaser, a construction worker, and most recently a meteorologist and semi-professional baseball player in the great city of Vienna, Austria. How all of these experiences have landed me in Vienna is a long story, but I am glad to be here now. Vienna is an awesome city with something for everyone. I enjoy meeting the people of this city and learning more about the culture every day.

I have my own recommendations and favorite things about Vienna, but I am always willing to try new things and ask the natives in my form of American German about any exciting attractions that I may have missed during my time in Vienna so far.

I originally joined Couch Surfing in 2010 during a brief trip to Europe. But I had renewed interest when I moved to Europe and felt the desire to travel myself. So I suppose I dont have many recommendations yet, but I am willing to offer a couch and a (hopefully) exciting view of the city to anyone who needs a place to stay for a night or two.

Interests

My passion is traveling. This is part of the reason that I ended up Vienna, but I am not content with only seeing that part of the world. Like to meet all kinds of people and see new cities and gain new experiences.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Best moment was skinnydipping underneath a waterfall on the top of one the Alps last summer. Amazing view.

Plitvice Lakes National Park in Croatia is also an incredible destination with amazing scenery
