About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I wanna break it all (my inner thoughts!)

ABOUT ME

I'm an easy going guy with a particular preference for black humour and no-sense (Woody Allen wasted my life!).

I used to be really into music during my teenagehood (great rock'n'roll addiction and several instruments played, such as violin, piano and guitar).
I played in several bands (indie, progressive, stoner and low-fi), mainly guitar and violin. Everybody says that violin make them cry, probably because of the way I played it! :D

However now I just moved from Italy, where I was working as graphic designer, to Dublin, where I hope to apply for a Masters degree in Human Resources. Already graduated in Advertising however.

Main occupation at the time? Studying English, get to know people, travelling, hosting!

PHILOSOPHY

Help me / is help you (and viceversa!)
OK, actually the geeks out there would have reckonized a Warcraft 3 videogame motto, except for the in parenthesis part, of course, but that's what I think!

In other words I believe that all the things on the surface of the world are intimately connected: do good things and good things will return to you, do bad ones... Got it?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Partecipating in CS just means help people out and be helped out by them, exchanging our views about life and people, sipping a bier in the meanwhile. What else??

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

As you can see in my Travel section, my first CS expirience has been in Istanbul and it was brilliant, and from that moment on I decided taht I wanted to be part of it.

Best CS experience ever: 10 people all at once hosted in Perugia (ITALY). Do you think I could see the floor anymore??

Interests

At the moment, first of all languages (English in particular), but Spanish could be another good one, just because everybody talks that one.

After that music: from indie-rock music I turned to world-ethnic music. Favourite bands at the moment: Amadou & Mariam, Manu Chao, Gogol Bordello, Undertones (Irish punk band! Check this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wGu2lu5XWE8).

Music, Movies, and Books

MOVIES | 1 American Beauty 2 The Evil Badge (by Orson Welles, check this one out, guys!) 3. At the moment some movies of Clint Eastwood for sure, I would say, but also: Cohen Brothers, Wes Anderson, Spike Jones and many more!

MUSIC | Read before. But I used to love: Motorpsycho (greatest band ever till 1998), Dinosaur Jr (indie-rock pionieer, just join together again!), Sonic Youth, Queens of the Stone Age (hehehehe!), Foo Fighters, Smashing Pumpkins, thousands

BOOKS | Doestojevsky, above all! And keep on going with the Russians, Bulgakov 'Master and Margherita' (I'm not really sure about the translation, though!).
Last book read: Everything is illuminated.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the latest one was rafting in the Marmore falls: I almost lost my life, but ist was really adrenalinic!

About the things I've seen, probably Lapland, that is: seeing nothing :)

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach?? Some English if your level is very bad, or some good accademical English if you have to take an English test (I took mine yesterday!).
Also music I would say, but that doesn't really seem to me a matter of subject.

Learn? Everything from everybody! I'm really curious about things I never heard till the day before.

Share: when I'll my violin back to me in Dublin, we can play some music together, guys!

Countries I’ve Visited
