About Me

I am a medical doctor by profession and scuba diver by passion. I teach and train undergraduate and postgraduate students in medicine and related areas. The cutting edge research in genetic and physiological basis of human thinking, emotions and behaviour fascinates me and I try to be a part of it. I am a great fan and follower of contemporary political and social studies. Photography, International Travelling, Hill Walking, Playing Table Tennis & Tennis, Reading and Listening to Music are some of my hobbies.

I feel as a person I am somewhat reserved but certainly not boring. I am easy to talk to and tend to communicate effectively with people from all backgrounds. For me life is a perpetual learning process propagated through seeking of knowledge & experience, introspecting, self reflecting and developing of empathy towards others. These are the essentials elements to develop insight, foresight, wisdom and a better sense of presence in the world. We generally tend to live at a superficial level but there are always deeper meanings to what we think and do; it’s just the matter of finding them :)

I am doubly vaccinated against CoVID19 and have recently received my booster dose as well :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I don’t use Couchsurfing in the strict sense, i.e to seek or offer a couch. I always stay in hotels during my travels.

I usually approach the very helpful local dwellers to seek information about the places I am looking to visit, from their personal perspective. Yes there is a lot available on the Internet, but nothing can replace insights gained through personal experience. I am particularly thankful to those who have gone as far as showing me around.

I am available to offer similar experience to those coming to visit my area.
