ABOUT ME

In our culture we've been trained for individual differences to stand out, so you look at each person and the immediate judgement is brighter, dumber, older, younger, richer, poorer and we make all the dimensional distinctions putting them into categories and treat them that way. And we get so by seeing others different from ourselves in the ways in which they're seperate and one of the dramatic characteristics of experience is being with another person and suddenly seeing the ways in which they are like you, not different from you. Experiencing the fact that the essence in you and which is essence in me is the one, the understanding that there is no other. It is all one.

I'm about to set on my way for the very beginning of my adventure! As of the 25th July 2011 I will be heading up the east coast of Australia with all but my pack, a tent, some stuff to keep my warm and the tiniest bit of money left in my bank account. I guess you will be able to call it an exploration of spirituality and of the truth :) I'm excited!
I will be looking to couch surf and just find all the shelter I can find, but just have to get my butt into gear and use this site more frequently!! Yay!!

PHILOSOPHY

The most important kind of freedom is to be what you really are. You trade in your reality for a role. You trade in your sense for an act. You give up your ability to feel, and in exchange, put on a mask. There can't be any large-scale revolution until there's a personal revolution, on an individual level. It's got to happen inside first. You can take away a person's political freedom and you won't hurt them- unless you take away their freedom to feel. That can destroy them. That kind of freedom can't be granted. Nobody can win it for you.
