About Me
CURRENT MISSION
rejoining the 9-5 life and exploring the big apple.
ABOUT ME
i'm a city kid, no doubt about that. i'm really into tech, especially when it can be used to improve or enrich an urban lifestyle.
I spent a couple of years backpacking around Europe, then later picked up the digital nomad life while exploring more of the US, Australia, and Southeast Asia. I'm just an easy-going guy who's up for a drink, a chat, some good tunes, and good times.
PHILOSOPHY
i love to spend time enjoying the situation around me. I think it's amazing that with technology I can be aware of what many of my friends are up to, even if they're nowhere near me. I'm just as happy exploring new venues and sight-seeing as I am to sit down with a beer and talk about nothing for hours.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Most of my participations involved going to meetings and joining activities in the cities along my european journey. everyone i've met this way has been really kind and interesting. I look forward to hosting when I settle down into a single spot for a while.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
For the most part i've only gone to meet ups while overseas. I've surfed several times throughout europe, and they were really awesome experiences. CS is definitely one of the best ways to get to know a city (country, culture).

Music, Movies, and Books
I have a penchant for hard rock and metal. I enjoy coding to electronica, movie scores, and classical. But in the end, i'll listen to anything but twangy "modern country".
i'm a sucker for sci-fi movies, but i'm usually up for checking out most films that look reasonably interesting.
as for books, i read a plethora of different genres, but (to go with the theme) my favorite genre is definitely cyberpunk.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Going to Iraq to help out the Army with the software I worked on was really rewarding to me. Seeing things you'd coded (created) being used in real life situations was kind of mind bending, in a good way.
