About Me

Hey Surfers,

We are Pete, Emma and now Baby Bodhi (5 months)
When we're not in Sheffield (and now hosting) we're backpacking with a baby! He's seriously cute and a good sleeper.

We run a successful travel blog www.globemad.com and love to show the people that the world is full of love.

Over the past 8 years we have ran a charity in Cambodia and taught all over the world, as well as travelled to some seriously crazy and wonderful places.

PLEASE NOTE: We have done a lot more couch surfing and hosting on an account Emma had but can't retrieve. (long story)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We love meeting new people, sharing our culture on the road as well as when hosting.
We believe you only ever really get to know a place if you stay with a local.
LOVE that moment when you first meet up, breathe a sigh of relief for they don't seem like a killer, see the same relief in their other eyes and then proceed to make a friend for life that you can't wait to see again.
Plus we love to blog on travel and people maketh the place!

Interests

Adventure, travel, FOOOOD, philosophy, outdoor pursuits... and definitely FOOD! :-) ...did we mention food? ...and to be honest, sometime just chilling out. ;-)

Music, Movies, and Books

The count of monte cristo, The Alchemist, Into the wild and other various cliche travel books we just cant get enough of #neverstoptravelling

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Living in Cambodia, we started a charity to look after orphaned and abandoned children. We've built lots of houses, classrooms and a playground since. www.lovecambodia.co.uk

Teach, Learn, Share

We can both help aspiring bloggers get to grips with how the mysterious world of blogging ever makes you a living.

Also, did you know that there are more molecules of water in a single cup of water than there are cups of water in all the oceans of the world!? (this is well over 600,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 molecules) Pete has taught science all over the world.
