About Me

# If I haven't answered you in a couple of hours, feel free to email me: forestbiiird🐕gmail.com. Sometimes CS fucks up email notifications and they arrive several days late.

Hi. I'm Alexey. I talk a lot. I am bad at listening, but trying to improve.

I live in the best part of the city, both beautiful and quiet. It's 15 minutes on foot from the closest subway, and 20 minutes to the Nevsky prospect. There are plenty of bars and all kinds of eateries around. Also, it's five minutes to the river, which we totally should see at night.

I have a separate room for you. There is a couch, great for one person, okay-ish for two. There is a balcony, where you can smoke. There is a vacuum cleaner robot, which will probably scare you to death.

And the best cat in the world. You're gonna love her.

Random facts:
* Fourth floor and no elevator.
* I expect you to bring your own food (or cook with me).
* I also expect you to be somewhat talkative and willing to interact. If you just wanted a place to sleep, you would rent a hotel, right? (=
* I am happy to accept up to two people, age or gender doesn't matter.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I really appreciate when surfers whose requests I accepted write to me a day or two before they come, to reaffirm. Or, if they will not come. I hate uncertainty! I want to meet you people and when you don't tell me that it's not gonna happen, and I wait for nothing, that really does make me unhappy.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Great.

Interests

I work as a Python programmer, and love it. I can spend hours talking about all aspects of software development.

My favourite book as of now is 'Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance' (it's not about motorcycles).

Random topics I'd love to discuss: drugs, suicide, politics, the question 'why', ads, and why every programmer should have a private office.
