ABOUT ME

Some basic stuff to start with:

I lived in Vaasa - a great place to grow up in. Later I moved to Espoo, where I've lived ever since, except for a two month traineeship in Sri Lanka. After starting my studies at the Helsinki University of Technology (nowadays Aalto University), I shared a student appartment with 3 other girls. Nowadays I live with my flatmate a 20 min busride away from Otaniemi campus.

I've engaged myself with a lot of volunteer work in the past e.g. in our student association. Now I'm trying to finish my studies and start making a living of some sort.

I'm not a Helsinki expert, but I do know some nice places. I can also show you my favorite forest spot here in Espoo.

Here I'm quoting some friends of mine, who wrote these thoughts about me at a sort of a workshop. They were allowed only to write positive things.. ;)
Explanations modified.. They should make more sense now. Or not.

---
"funny things" (btw, I'm translating these from Finnish so the things most probably refers to the stuff I talk about. maybe.. I don't know. :D)

"a colorful person" (A more colloquial word was used instead of "person", like when you say "a good guy"; what's the equivalent for girls? Actually I'm not sure if colorful is supposed to describe my appearance or my character, since the "person"-word can also be interpreted as 'personality'. Vivid could have been a better choise..)

"a nice person, isn't afraid of being the way she is." (Ok.. sorry if these don't make any sense. Would probably be better with "what" instead of "the way")

"happy, good imagination and lots of ideas"

"full of ideas" (these two might have been a way of telling me to shut up once in a while.. in a positive way! ;D)

"a peculiar person, but in a good way!" (emh.. what on earth does that mean?)
---

More stuff to come.. One day..

PHILOSOPHY

Even if I hate something today, doesn't mean I can't love it tomorrow! I suppose that could be called open-mindedness or something.. o_O
Or perhaps mental sickness. Dunno.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm offering my couch and/or my mattress for my guests.
I want to make new friends and see the world.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted several people and attended some meetings. Surfed too in Italy, Belgium, England, Finland, Scotland, France and Spain.

Interests

AAAaaaaaaaa... Music, arts, cooking maybe. I'm interested in lots of things. I sometimes do yoga and actively try to get rid of all the useless stuff I have at home. I love to paint and create things with my hands.

I love horse riding, although I'm not very good at it. I like to use any opportunity to ride. I also like walking in nature, snowboarding, swimming in natural waters and every once in a while running.
