About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Ask a lot of why and how, give up preconceptions, explore and study. To really understand who I am and always act with integrity. Help save whatever is salvageable from this now reality while it's still here, a gift for future.

ABOUT ME

Kind of an all-around visual artist focusing on, but not limited by, performance, writing and game design. I am currently living alone in Tampere, western Finland. I co-parent an amazing and adorable little cat. I'm kind of a mix between a social butterfly always longing to meet other beings, and an intense nerd who needs the time alone to function somewhat okay. Still very much trying to find a balance between the two...

I sneeze at bright lights. I like pastries better than candy. I'm fascinated by swamps, complicated things, words and other peoples geeks.
I get easily excited (distracted) about every other thing and am making good progress dealing with my arachnophobia (that's spiders). I'm very fond of animals though, and won't exclude spideys from the list. :)

I love summer for the bright warmth and lush nature, falls for the rains, berries and the earthy smells. Snowy winters for the crisp freshness, silence and ice-hole swimming. Overall I'm a very outdoorsy person.

Other than that I'd just say I'm open to ideas, sincere, interested and I suck at lying.

PHILOSOPHY

Life's short and it's all we got, so be involved in the things you appreciate.

And always remember we're but tiny talking monkeys on this wet speck of dust - circling a wee little spark in the dark, plummeting through an endless void at ludicrous speeds. Helps me keep a perspective on things. :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I suppose I'm on couchsurfing because I think every culture should be experienced from inside out, not the other way around. That way we can properly appreciate where and who we are...

I've had nothing but good experiences hosting. Even made a friend here! And I've surfed at Oslo for a few nights.

Interests

Nature, in every way. It's meditation, perspective, spirituality... It's our heritage, home and our roots and it should be treated as such, with earnest love, responsibility and respect. I like camping, hiking, cycling, survivalism, climbing, everything that takes me to the wilds. I also take immense interest in space, evolution, life and all the mechanics involved in the shaping of this universe.

Culture. All these weird habits and laws and the infinite ways people express their lives, thoughts, beliefs... The human experience craves for reflection, I think.

Music, Movies, and Books

It's a cliche but I really listen indiscriminately to all kinds of music. Recently I've been listening to a lot of Dark Ambient, Synthwave, some Extreme Death Metal, considerable amounts of Horror Game soundtracks, Chiptune, Chillhop and Classical Composers from Russia.

Lately I've read mostly pen-and-paper RPG manuals, apart from the usual stream of articles on everything. Next book on my list is about Art Psychotherapy.

I like unusual, creative, complicated and challenging things, things that help one develop and learn and grow.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've delivered quite a few puppies into this world.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'll happily share anything I know and can. Ask away, I know about a lot of things, albeit not a lot necessarily. :)

I'm interested in learning pretty much anything so feel free to teach, tell, show and so on if you want!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can hang, show you around, nerd about stuff and give local tips, talk language and culture and history.

I might be able to host, but my accommodations are not very optimal sleeping-wise. I don't have a spare mattress at the moment so the comfiest alternative would probably be my own (large) bed, but I'll be using it myself. It really depends on trust and respect if I'm willing to share it. So while it's an option, I won't promise until we've established that in person.

Apart from that you'd have access to all the utilities here.
