About Me

I'm a 22 year recent graduate of the University of Georgia with a degree in Psychology and Linguistics. I'm a huge fan of soccer, specifically Arsenal in the Premier League, and an avid music fan. I'm currently working as a paraprofessional in a kindergarten special education class.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm looking for cool places to stay and cool people to stay with as I make my way west on a cross-country roadtrip. The trip is beginning in late April and concluding in mid-June.

Interests

I'm a big video game nerd, I love playing and watching people play. I'm a big concert goer as well. I've gone to two music festivals each summer since sophomore year of college, typically to volunteer. And living in Athens certainly had its perks, it's a musical town.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: anything by Ray Bradbury or Cormac McCarthy plus some Vonnegut, Tim O'Brien and whatever else

Movies: Anything by Nolan, Coen Brothers, Hitchcock, Welles, Anderson
Interstellar, Princess Bride, Almost Famous, Full Metal Jacket, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Touch of Evil, 2001, Truman Show, Apocalypse Now, Rear Window, etc

Music: I listen to indie and folk primarily. My range of music changes a lot, but there's a consistent top three of artists of Dawes, Gregory Alan Isakov, and Arcade Fire. Right now I'm listening to a lot of The Lonesome Bellow, Punch Brothers, Matt Vasquez (listen to his 18 minute long ode to Austin on his new EP), Local Natives, Father John Misty, and My Morning Jacket.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Decided to go to Bonnaroo at the last second to volunteer and work the festival by myself. Ended up meeting a group from Philly and made a giant campsite with them and meeting two of my favorite bands (also I'm pretty sure I'm in a Mumford and Sons music video that they shot on site during the festival).
Also, at the end of the summer, I'll be traveling abroad to Costa Rica to work for the Ministry of Education and teach English to different groups.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I make a mean Fried Green Tomato BLT. Willing to do my part with whatever y'all need too.
