Music, Movies, and Books

The influence of music and books on my life is immense. I love a good movie, yes, but music and literature is what really inspires me. I'm really all over the map with it all, but right now I'm reading lots of nonfiction and listening to a lot of Grizzly Bear and Broken Social Scene.

More movies: anything Wes Anderson, anything Guillermo del Toro, Donnie Darko, Amelie, anything John Hughes.

More music: right now, lots of FRANK OCEAN, Ben Howard, Andrew Bird, Neko Case, Protomartyr, Shabazz Palaces, Erykah Badu.

More books: obsessed with Donna Tartt at the moment, Miranda July, Christopher Hitchens, any food writing, anything on modern art.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My first barbecue in Argentina. The cook arrived on bicycle, and left as soon as he was done...not long enough to hear us rave about the smoky parts.

Teach, Learn, Share

Your experiences and mine are valuable. Let's share.

What I Can Share with Hosts

No matter how far or near I am to home, I'm always looking for an authentic experience...I'm hungry to learn as much as I can about whatever I can. I can share that love of your place with you. I can also cook Cajun food for you if you like. :)

Countries I’ve Visited
