About Me

CURRENT MISSION

rub my stomach and pat my head AT THE SAME TIME

ABOUT ME

Humanoid. Peripatetic. Forgetful. Big cowgirl thumbs ups to: laughter, debate, mountains.
Sometimes I argue with people just for the heck of it, but mostly I'm pretty peaceful.
CAN'T host at the moment! Sorry! In between living spaces...

PHILOSOPHY

I think the best advantage you can give yourself is to be curious, oh.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm a hoster/visitor. I also preach the benefits of the CS to all who will listen.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

A few couchsurfers came to stay in my digs last year. One guy who stayed with my friend had travelled all the way from Warsaw using public transport to Cape Town. He'd met pygmies and been in Kinshasa during a gun battle. That got me fascinated, but i only joined awhile later.

Interests

Poetry, Hypothetical situations, hybrid animals, history, literature, pop science (evolution, genetics, space, origins of the universe), animals and insects and their curious lives, I hike a lot, explosions of a visual, aural or literary nature, food especially if it involves sesame seeds, garlic, or unusual citrus fruit, folk, blues music.
And what I study, sustainable development, the impact of technologies, climate change.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once I saw a moth that looked just like a hummingbird. True story.
I have also had picnics atop waterfalls, seen sky lanterns float away across the highveld, seen thunderstorms pelt the transkei, and many mountains that took my breath away.

Teach, Learn, Share

Let's cook together! I'll give you really awesome poems which will make you laugh and cry, and let you plunder the ill-gotten gains of my ext HDD for movies and music.
