About Me
CURRENT MISSION
equity, peace, laughter, reflection, dance and a good cup of strong coffee.
ABOUT ME
I've spent most of my life in the Americas working with young people. I recently lived and worked in Derry Northern, Ireland for 4 years.
I loved exploring the hills & surroundings of my city.
I love to travel, meet people and learn. I facilitate leadership and participation workshops andwork in the Restorative Justice field. And do a bit of forum and community theatre!
PHILOSOPHY
"I don't believe in charity. I believe in solidarity. Charity is vertical, so it's humiliating. It goes from the top to the bottom. Solidarity is horizontal. It respects the other and learns from the other. I have a lot to learn from other people."
"Yo no creo en caridad. Yo creo en solidaridad. Caridad es vertical, que es humillante, va de arriba hacia abajo. Solidaridad es horizontal, respeta a los demas y aprende de ellos. Yo tengo mucho que aprender de otras personas." -Eduardo Galeano
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have met and hung out with couch surfers in Ireland and showed folks around Derry when I lived there.
i met amazing couch surfers from Italy at my friends house (who was hosting) in Belfast and was inspired! I've informally couchsurfed for years, as I have met people on my travels. I think this is a great concept!
