ABOUT ME

I am a rather strange person, totally different from any others I know. I have a good sense of humor, I laugh and cry easily. I am kind and honest. I am a mother of a 21-year-old boy who lives at home and is into writing poetry and classical and folk music, and nerdy things. I am a musician and specialized in clavichord performance, I make a living playing clavichord concerts. I live surrounded by lakes and forests and enjoy nature a lot. While I do like traveling it is always wonderful to come home. I live a healthy life keeping close to nature and trying to avoid materialistic lifestyle. I eat mostly vegan and don't use alcohol, caffeine, smoke cigarettes or have other addictions.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have always hosted people in my home who have needed a place to stay (and so have my parents and grandparents, so I guess it's in the genes!). I have found them on my travels and brought them home. I got to know couchsurfing through a friend of mine who brought an Australian couch surfer of hers to visit me and we adopted her into the family and she still keeps in touch! Since then I have had several perfect hosting and surfing experiences.

Interests

Walking in the forest (picking berries and mushrooms if there are any), cross-country skiing in the forest, swimming in the lakes, ice skating on the lakes, classical music, classic literature, art that takes my breath away (or rather gives it back to me), museums, nature, travel, growing flowers in the garden, knitting socks and mittens, going to fleamarkets.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am into classical music exclusively though I may enjoy some sorts of folk music as well. I hardly ever listen to music because I get to hear enough of it as I play.
I love to read and my personal favorites are Russian classics and I have enjoyed British classics too.
I don't watch a whole lot of movies, but I like things that make me laugh (and sometimes cry too) but not so much things that make me scared.

Every day is full of them and this space is certainly too limited to even begin describing all the wonderful things in life!
