About Me
pulkit12083.github.io
I'm quite fond of quirky, eccentric, skeptical, literary people.
Constantly on the lookout for unique perspectives - especially of those who find it in them to remain thoughtful about the prevailing injustices in modern life despite having made it to the bourgeois class. I'm a conflicted person with a keen impulse to study and learn from those different and better than me.
SPECIAL NOTE: I would be more than happy to host anyone from the LGBTQ+ community and persons of colour.
SPECIAL NOTE 2: Please make the enjoyment of your trip noncontingent on your stay at my place! I may/may-not be able to hang out and I can't be sure of that in advance.
To potential guests: Please keep me me informed about your itinerary so that I can adjust my schedule accordingly. If you're staying on weekdays I might not be able to spend time with you.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To do my bit in making the world a more congenial and hospitable place. By offering a roof to those who want to wander.
Abstractly:
To learn from people.
To understand them and myself better.
To craft a hospitable person in me.

Music, Movies, and Books
This field is supposed to encapsulate my consumptive interests but it can never be exhaustive.
From the top of my head:
Books:
I adore reading. Philosophy is my primary mistress and fiction is who I turn to for comforts not found in people. I adore existentialist, absurdist, philosophical literature and have a special corner for leftist writers who intend to create and define a better world. I'm pretty basic when it comes to fiction (joyce, nabokov, dostoevsky, DFW etc). Also fond of chomsky, marx, camus and John Berger.
Music:
Give me experimental rock, avant-garde and confusing trout mask replica-esque albums. Classical music, indie and stuff that's emotionally destructive (neutral milk hotel, car seat headrest and lofi shoegaze anyone?)
Movies:
Weird, confusing, art-house. Bergman, kurosawa, lynch and Barbara Hammer. Give me films that disturb, confuse, provoke and are strange.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I came into existence from the void. Heideggerian I know but how cool is that.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have no clue how to answer 'teach, learn and share' but in over two decades of my life I've learned nothing conclusively, and shared only skepticism.
I have nothing to teach. Everything to learn. And as much to share as you're willing to listen.
