About Me

Living in North St. Paul, MN , one block from the bus line. I live in a teeny tiny house in a nice neighborhood not far from the Maplewood Mall. I'd say I'm probably 15 minutes from downtown St. Paul. I have a dog named George. He' s a friendly guy. I go to school and work. I'm training to be a foster parent to a medically fragile child. I go to an awesome church where I try to take a couple of my grandchildren on Sundays. I have 9 grandchildren with a set of twins 2 months old as of September 2015. So, I'm busy. But always time to meet new people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'll be retiring in less than two years (or at least semi retiring) and I want to travel. Since I'm isolated in where I live, what I do for a living and the fact that I'm an introvert I don't have a lot of friends who live nearby. Also, I love to learn about other cultures and I love ethnic foods. I've even cooked a few ethnic foods.

Interests

Photography, reading , writing, cooking, baking, learning new things, working to improve my house and yard, board games, bowling, darts, fishing, long walks, auctions, rodeos, art museums, music, watching movies, justice. Lots of interests... On my bucket list is zip lining. Paintball would be fun too.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - All music except opera, rap and heavy metal. Movies - Life is Beautiful, The Green Mile, The Notebook, Out of Africa, Butterflies Are Free, Bird on a Wire, Dirty Dancing...you can tell I haven't seen a movie in awhile. TV - The Voice, Investigative Discovery, Chicago Fire. Books - Anything by David Baldacci or a woman author I can't remember her name right now.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Drive semi. I look at those big rigs on the highway, and I can't believe it myself. But it's true.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to make homemade bread. I'd like to be more fluent in Spanish. I'd love to learn to sail.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My wonderful personality, my awesome down home or ethnic cooking, a clean bed, laundry facilities and a shower. But we have to share the bathroom.
