Sobre mí

Whenever I'm not caught snuggling under a blanket reading with my cup o' tea to the side or enjoying the good naps that I'm quite fond of, I'll be somewhere with no network coverage planning my next adventure.

I enjoy snapping out of my comfortable shoes whenever that's possible so that I can switch perspectives once every now and then. That's why I love meeting new people coming from different places in space and time and like to learn about anything new, all the time.

Random facts:

- Massive foodie, i love eating, cooking and experimenting with any flavors that might tickle the soul. I especially dig indian but I'm still very much hoping someone on a unicorn will appear sometime soon and teach me more about how that actually gets done.
Other keywords on that note: broccoli, shrimps, white fish, pasta, smoothies and lemonades (which takes me to lime, which takes me to gin - both still very valid keywords).
Maybe it's worth mentioning here that I've recently joined the dark side of 'em coo-coo coconut people, having just organized a special shelve in my kitchen yesterday so that my coconut oil, coconut flour, coconut milk and coconut flakes can sit nicely all together from now on.
I don't fry things very often and i like to chip in as many plants as I can when i cook.

- I'm a nature person and have basically spent my first 3 years of life inside a backpack. I've been hiking all my life, seen wild bears and have had other wild animals nibble the grass outside my tent.

Since I use the internet more than I probably should though, I've been stuck in the urban lately so I've adapted my passion for wandering to the city life. I've taken to urban exploring a while back and like to do that whenever I get the chance. In fact I'd like to get more of that done, as it seems to me that's one of the best ways to really get to know a city and its history. For anyone who's up for things like that I'll be more than happy to tag along!

-I don't like small talk but I can be quite good at it. However I enjoy meaningful conversations about anything meaningful. I appreciate people who are truthful to themselves, others and the environment they live in.

- I'm a pretty good communicator and that might have something to do with my background - languages. I have a decent share of experience with teaching so I'll be happy to organize romanian/dutch/spanish/english learning sessions for you in case you might be interested. I'm always excited to learn how to say something in a different language, so I'd love to meet for exchanges.
I'm pretty fascinated with communication means and purposes in general and although I'm still a rookie when it comes to code i do know a thing or two about computer language. I'm always thrilled to learn more about that since it might be the one thing I'm actually patient about.

- I like making/building things and find it a necessity to keep my hands busy at all times. As evidence stands my 2m tall bed which I'm excessively proud of and which is now functional and pleasing to the eye thanks to the huge help of my boyfriend alex.
I draw whenever I remember to and struggle a little with learning how to play ukulele in my free time, despite being tone deaf as informed by my beloved friends. Don't worry, I don't do voice.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I enjoy the idea of exchanging things, moments, feelings, ideas and knowledge and I like connecting with open minded people that want to improve themselves, others and the world we live in, so I'm keen on using CS to get a new feel of things I may have missed and that might make me a better person. I like to think as myself as more of a giver than a taker so I'll be happy to help out anyway I can, whenever I can.
My current living conditions are not exactly concrete at the moment (will they ever be?), but accepting guests might be possible depending on various factors, so hit me up with a message in case you need a place in Bucharest. I can't promise you anything, but i can try to make things work.

Intereses

music (world music like gypsy and african, psytrance, jazzy and feelgood) history, politics and journalism, movies (sci fi and documentary), internet, code, computers, places, arts, psychology and beauty. I like to speculate on what that is by using my camera to photograph people and expressions, places and conceptual situations.
I have a travel blog that I never keep up to date, but deep down I know it'll make me famous one day.
