About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Be happy and help others be happy
ABOUT ME
Me...hmm... I want to learn more about the world in every way possible. Books, travel, people (especially people)... I tend to be fairly quiet, I prefer to listen than to talk, but I'm more than happy to teach others about things I know. I just feel I have so much to learn (which is a really good thing). I guess that would be me on a day to day basis. In more technical terms, I love to read, I cook a lot, it's most likely my favorite passtime, I like being outdoors, I meditate, I draw sometimes, I play guitar, I go to music festivals. I'm interested in all things that relate to gender. I've been a volunteer for Montreal's queer week and have learnt a lot from it. I would like to work with transpeople in the future and their families. It's the main reason I would study in social work.
PHILOSOPHY
Live, let live and help live.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
2010 was my first summer couchsurfing. I couchsurfed twice in Burlington, Vermont and hosted about 15 people since. I am looking forwards to hosting more and more people :) You can learn so much about the world without even leaving your city; it's amazing.

Music, Movies, and Books
Alice Walker, Nancy Huston and Daniel Quinn are some of my favorite authors. I love novels. Even when i tell myself i should read some "more serious" stuff, I always go back to novels :). My favorite comedian is Margaret Cho. I'm a big fan of Ani diFranco, Tori Amos, Aimée Mann and the Smashing pumpkins. I like electronic music, especially psytrance and drum and bass. I'm always open to discovering new music.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Visiting the Angkor temples in Siem Reap.
