Overview
About Me
My home base is along the Atlantic Ocean on the south shore of beautiful Nova Scotia, Canada. At the simplest level, I am happiest when I can pour my love into anything I choose to do. This can take many forms. Whole-hearted is my approach to life. I also appreciate when people ask me what I think. I extend the same courtesy and delight in the motto - "Live and let live".
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
In the words of poet, Robert Frost, I prefer to take the road less travelled and it makes all the difference. I value lifelong education, endless hiking, swimming, good conversation and laughter. I believe these can be shared and enjoyed with anyone around the world.
Music, Movies, and Books
I love classical music or anything with range and complexity.
My favourite genre is comedy and movies based on true stories.
I like books that challenge the reader to develop a new perspective. The latest I enjoyed was the "Cellist of Sarajevo" by Steven Galloway.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I moved to another country independently in my twenties, not knowing what to expect at the other end. It was the most amazing year-long adventure. Since then I have characterized myself as cosmopolitan. I may have a home base and passport that indicates my citizenship, but I feel I belong nowhere and at the same time everywhere.
