About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To live free, die old, and enjoy everything inbetween
ABOUT ME
I am passionate about life and informing people. I love listening to music, hearing stories about peoples adventures, traveling, laughing, riding my bike, camping, being in the ocean, I love being alive!
PHILOSOPHY
I am going to sound cliche when I say this but....
"Never lie, steal, cheat, or drink. But if you must lie, lie in the arms of the one you love. If you must steal, steal away from bad company. If you must cheat, cheat death. And if you drink, drink in the moments that take your breath away."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am always down to host people. I have done more hosting than surfing but I am down with that. If you stay with me you will not leave my house hungry. I will cook up a feast that will make you say "uhh, na-na-na-na!" or maybe you will just say thanks.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Co-hosted a bunch of couch surfers in Logan as well as in New York. I have had a positive experience with everyone I have hosted and it's been fun to get to know people from all over the US as well Europe, Australia, and the Middle East
Interests
Bikes, music, food, the ocean, experiencing life, laughing, surfing, climbing, camping, and unwinding. Bike Activism, bike polo, being a well informed citizen. Cooking, buying local and organic.

Music, Movies, and Books
Would you ask your mother who her favorite child is?
I like lots of types of Music. Mostly Simon and Garfunkle, The Beatles, Greatful Dead, The Grouch...the list goes on.
Books? I read a lot of them. If I have a spare moment that I am not working (which is 60 hours a week)I probably have my nose in a book. I like Steinbeck and Chiam Potok a lot. Lately I have been reading a lot of books on sustainability and gardening. If it is a classic, I have probably read it.
Movies- If it has a good plot, quality cinematography, and is of good merit, I will probably watch it. Hope I don't sound pretentious... ;)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I climbed Mt.Fuji
I've lived more years outside of the United States than I have inside.
I grew up in Japan.
I recently went on a bike trip to Germany where I road a mountain bike tricked out for touring, slept in a park somewhere around Munich, ate Donerkabbab in Wolfratshausen, saw the amazing world of cycling at Eurobike, took at train to Fussen only to realize I hated my boss I was touring with and went home. Some really fantastic things happened in between.
Teach, Learn, Share
The bicycle is a curious vehicle. Its passenger is its engine. ~John Howard
For instance, the bicycle is the most efficient machine ever created: Converting calories into gas, a bicycle gets the equivalent of three thousand miles per gallon. ~Bill Strickland, The Quotable Cyclist
It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle. ~Ernest Hemingway
