CURRENT MISSION
get this degree finished so I can go traveling again
ABOUT ME
I grew up in Florida and that's where most of my life is, however I was born in Puerto Rico and lived there for five years and still visit frequently. I'm very proud of this fact. I've just finished my fourth year (yeah I should be done, but I'm not, oh well!) of mechanical engineering studies at UCF in Orlando, FL so in some ways I'm a little nerdy, but I still like to party. Most people tell me that I seem much older than my years, if not just in appearance but in the way I carry myself. I have to say I grew up a bit faster than people of my same age group, and I think that reflects itself in the fact that I spend the majority of my time with people older than me. I hate to sound cocky or anything like that, but I'm more mature than my age may suggest to some people. So as I like to say, age is only a number, kind of goes with the whole "don't judge a book by its cover" lesson, so don't let that get in the way. I'm really into the car scene, mainly classics and antiques, particularly American muscle cars; I have one as a life long restoration project. It's a 1970 Chevrolet El Camino. I'm really into music and sporting activities, even when hungover. Since I've been in Spain I've become really open to just doing stuff. Always up for trying something new, and when there's nothing new to do the same routine is good, as long as it gets me out there doing something! But don't get me wrong, I love a relaxed day taking in the sights and discovering new places, people, and cultures. It's become my new hobby.
PHILOSOPHY
you only live once, take the opportunities when they present themselves, or find them if need be
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Just getting started, but I'm ready to see the world and help others see sunny Florida. Especially interested in helping out people from other countries when I get home, as in my experiences abroad I've come to enjoy experiencing the cultural differences.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I had two different hosts in Paris and they were both great and offered a different experience. I've also had the opportunity to attend some events, which turned out to be really cool. Meeting with surfers at the Redentore Festival in Venice was the highlight of my visit to the city!

Music, Movies, and Books
There's a lot of music, movies and books that I love, so I'll just give you a sample:
Books: Gates of Fire, I am Legend, Tides of War, the Peace and War trilogy, and a lot of science fiction series books
Movies: Always changing, but I still love The Back to the Future series, Sleepy Hollow, Constantine, and a lot more
Music, this is where it gets REALLY long. I like a little bit of everything, but I tend to gravitate more towards rock music. I listen to quite a few bands that most people have never heard of, and I'm always looking for new and different stuff, no matter what kind of music it is or if it's even in a language I can understand, so throw me some new music.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Studied a semester abroad in Spain, I think it has changed me for the better. Afterwards, I backpacked for a month all over Europe, staying with friends I had met during my study abroad and some couchsurfing and experiencing a bit of the local life.
Teach, Learn, Share
Well I could help you take apart your couch and explain it to you, and I could help you with your math homework. But to be able to find out what you can learn from someone you just have to get to know them and ask them the questions that really come to mind.
