ABOUT ME I have recently cycled solo coast to coast USA.... From Boston to San Francisco via Nashville on a Johnny Cash Odyssey visiting places from his life and songs along the way.... I live with my wife Ruth near Cardigan in West Wales... I love travelling and always have... Back when I was 18, I hitchhiked from the UK to Yugoslavia..... More recently I spent summer 2011 riding my dirt bike from Moscow (in Scotland) to Moscow, Russia .... It was a brilliant experience ..... The next year we rode to Russia via the Arctic Circle .... What a Blast!.... In 2017 we bicycled from Santander to St Malo... I organise the Adventure Travel Film Club in Cardigan and always carry a stack of films when I travel..... PHILOSOPHY ....Cycle....Motorcycle....Hitchhike.....

Back in my late teens I hitch-hiked down through Europe to Yugoslavia then up to Hungary... To me, Couch Surfing is a bit like Hitch hiking .... The kindness of strangers makes the world and your life a better place... I like to host and I like to stay with other couch surfers......

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

..I joined couchsurfing before heading off to Russia in 2011....My first couchsurfing experience was meeting up with a lovely couchsurfer in Riga for a meal and a wander round her city, stopped with a dude in Narva on the Russian border the night before entering Russia. We have quite a lot of couchsurfers stop with us in Wales...
