About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Explore what it's like to be a Real Human. Get deeper into Vipassana meditation, yoga, and Ayurveda. See oceans, rain forests, and deserts, hear people's stories, learn about healthy and spiritual living, in which there's plenty of space for play.
ABOUT US
We've been married for a few years and are best friends. :) I grew up in Bulgaria and Robert in Germany, so we are curious about and respectful towards different cultures. We enjoy walking in Nature, deep conversations, being playful and exploring new places, cultures, and worldviews.
We try to be vegetarian and we don't smoke. We don't drink, but we love cooking together.
PHILOSOPHY
Try to be the change you want to see. And don't forget to play :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've hosted a number of fascinating people both via Couchsurfing and Hospitalityclub while I lived in Bulgaria. We've surfed only a couple of times so far and always had a memorable experience. We hope to meet a few more wonderful people on our journeys.
I've come to appreciate guests' self-reliance (including me as a guest). I like people who are willing to explore the surroundings independently (although I'll join them as often as I can), and I like exploring on my own too. I find it nice when visitors are interested in the history and customs of my place and respectively I often ask a lot of questions about the place I visit and its people :)
Couchsurfing is a great way of making friends worldwide, building bridges between cultures, regardless of background and income. I find it a brilliant project!

Music, Movies, and Books
I like Bulgarian traditional songs and folk dances, Irish tunes, rock'n'roll, rock for sure, some metal, and relaxation music.
About books: all the novels and essays of Ursula le Guin, also Ken Wilber. My new favourite is Dr. Brene Brown -- researcher/story-teller talking about shame, joy, and the ingredients of Wholehearted life. Natalie Goldberg and Donald Maas as writing-craft inspirations.
Movies: I enjoy movies which say something deep and have more than 1 level of meaning like "Instinct", "Black Cat, White Cat", "Neverending Story", "Avatar", etc.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Seen the midnight sun beyond the Polar Circle on our honeymoon. :)
Teach, Learn, Share
I have learned a bit about how to teach more efficiently lately, working as an entrepreneur-English teacher in Germany. I'd be happy to share my knowledge about teaching and learn from you too. Robert can give you a few tips about cooking healthily and wood work.
Learn: We're both interested in yoga and Ayurveda, as well as Vipassana meditation, vegetarian cooking, organic farming, community life models, eco-house and log-house building, creative writing, photography, and I wish I could try out the hang drum :)
