About Me

I recently graduated from school, and now want to do what I have always wanted to do in life. Travel.

I have held this off for my first 20 so years of my life. Coming from a typical Indian family, the best way to get my parents happy and have them at peace about my life was to get a good job. Done and dusted.

Now, I want to start exploring places and learn people and cultures. I want to widen my mind. I see this happening already, moving to Seattle from India, meeting a whole lot of people from a huge number of places, and learning from them.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To get to know people and places from a local person's perspective.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I got too excited to see snow for my first time. I went out of my way, and ended up making my first experience of snow a bit traumatic.

I went with a group of hikers to hike up a mountain, in hopes of catching some snow, since I did not wait all the way till winter. I was all happy when we first hit snow, and I made snow angels like a regular excited person would. But then, they tell me that we had hiked only half way up the mountain. So, I walked more, and more, to a point where the snow was 2.5 feet deep. I had absolutely no snow gear. My waterproof shoe took snow in, made it into icy slush and wouldn't let it out. Ironic. And then, we got lost, since we couldn't see out path.

Took us a while to get back. Luckily I did not loose my toes as I had imagined, seeing survival shows, with people getting frost bites.

But in the end it was one of the most amazing things I have done.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My wild thoughts on why we exist and what life is. Philosophy in general.

Experiences of moving from one of the most conservative cities in the world to one of the most liberal.

I can cook really good Indian-Chinese, Indian-Italian and Indian food.

A good laugh. I think I am funny.
